HubSpot vs Salesforce pricing 2026: what gets metered?

Written by Chen Yehoshua | Oct 26, 2026, 8:52:39 PM

Both CRMs now charge for AI in a credit currency: HubSpot Credits at €0.01 each, Salesforce Flex Credits at $0.005 each. The per-credit price tells you little, because each vendor decides how many credits one action costs, and from November Salesforce plans to meter the calls external AI agents make to your org, at a rate it hasn't published. What differs is what gets metered, what's published, and what you can control.

IV-Lead is a HubSpot Solutions Partner (Gold) and not a Salesforce partner. Clients who compare both ask us for the numbers; this is what we give them, from vendor list prices read on the dates in the sources, HubSpot in EUR and Salesforce in USD, unconverted.

What changed in Salesforce's pricing in 2026?

Three things: new editions, Agentforce pricing in Flex Credits, and a planned charge for external agent calls.

Sales Cloud now lists Core at $195, Advanced at $395 and Max at $550 per user per month, billed annually, above Starter Suite ($25) and Pro Suite ($100). Max includes Agentforce for Sales and 2.75 million Flex Credits per org per year; on Core and Advanced, Agentforce for Sales is an add-on from $125 per user per month.

Agentforce pricing runs on Flex Credits: $500 per 100,000, so $0.005 each. A standard action is 20 credits ($0.10), a Help Agent resolution or a lead worked 400 ($2), and credits must be used before the order end date. The rate card dated 31 August 2026 also lists a new usage type, Headless Platform Interaction, with its multiplier marked "TBA".

What changed in HubSpot's pricing in 2026?

HubSpot's seats-and-credits model prices seats per user and meters email sends, workflow actions and Breeze AI in HubSpot Credits at €0.01 each. HubSpot's partner kit scopes it to net-new customers in EMEA; Israel isn't named, and existing contracts set their pricing.

Included credits are 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 a month on Starter, Professional and Enterprise. A capacity pack is €10 per 1,000 a month for the rest of the term, and unused credits don't roll over. On hub-based plans, pay-as-you-go is the default for credits bought on or after 16 September 2026. Our seats-and-credits pricing guide lists every pack, and what happens when HubSpot credits run out covers pause or pay.

How do seats compare?

Edition names don't map one to one, so the table shows each vendor's own tiers, HubSpot at EUR list on seats-and-credits and Salesforce at USD list, billed annually except Starter Suite.

Two questions stay open: whether Salesforce's EUR list applies to Israeli customers, and whether HubSpot offers seats-and-credits pricing in Israel at all.

How do the credit currencies compare?

HubSpot Credits and Salesforce Flex Credits are both prepaid units the vendor's own AI consumes, and the published terms differ on every row.

On HubSpot, included credits run out into a pause, and overage starts only once a capacity pack is on the account. We found no equivalent published rule for Flex Credits; ask Salesforce for one.

What does one AI action cost on each?

HubSpot prices most agents per outcome, while Salesforce prices a generic action and some outcomes.

UnitHubSpot (credits, EUR)Salesforce (Flex Credits, USD)
One generic agent actionMetered for Breeze AI actions in workflows; not priced here20 credits = $0.10 (voice: 30 = $0.15)
One resolved support conversationCustomer agent: 50 credits = €0.50Help Agent resolution: 400 credits = $2.00
One prospecting leadProspecting agent: 100 credits = €1Leads Worked: 400 credits = $2

A Salesforce action is one step; a resolution may take several, so check each vendor's definition of the unit.

What happens when an external AI agent calls your CRM?

Headless Platform Interactions are the new usage type on Salesforce's rate card; HubSpot's published terms for external agents are its API limits.

Salesforce. A help article of 17 September 2026 defines the unit. Each successful call by a registered agent, over MCP or direct API, to a production org is one Headless Platform Interaction (HPI), and it consumes Flex Credits. The multiplier is "TBA", agentic usage isn't metered today, and Salesforce promises 30 days' notice before it starts. November is the target for agent registration (Agentic Identity) and the billing model. Sandboxes and failed calls are exempt, and traditional, non-agentic integrations keep their current pricing. MCP use needs agent registration within three months of the notice; existing API-agent customers move to the new billing at renewal.

HubSpot. For a private app on Professional, the limit is 190 requests per 10 seconds and 625,000 calls a day. The HubSpot MCP server gives any MCP client read and write access to CRM objects, and apps built with it "follow the same distribution limits as other HubSpot apps". Neither the API page nor the MCP pages mention credits or charges for external-agent calls, as read on 26 October 2026. HubSpot could add a usage type later, as Salesforce has; what's published today is the API limit.

What do three typical setups cost?

Ten sellers, no AI add-on. HubSpot Professional: 10 GTM Seats at €100 is €1,000 a month plus usage, with 10,000 included credits, about 666 marketing emails a month if nothing else uses them. Salesforce Core: 10 × $195 is $1,950 a month; Advanced $3,950; Max $5,500, including Agentforce for Sales and 2.75 million Flex Credits a year, about 229,000 a month.

Ten sellers who want AI agents. HubSpot Professional with Breeze agents: seats €1,000; agents draw on the 10,000 included credits, then cost €0.01 each. 500 customer-agent resolutions is 25,000 credits, or €250 before included credits; overage is billed only if a capacity pack is on the account, otherwise the agent pauses. Salesforce Core with Agentforce for Sales: $1,950 plus 10 × $125 is $3,200 a month, plus Flex Credits at $0.10 per agent action.

Your own agent, your own LLM, 50,000 CRM calls a month. HubSpot Professional: inside the 625,000-a-day API limit, no published credit charge as of 26 October 2026. Salesforce: 50,000 HPIs × the TBA multiplier × $0.005. At an illustrative 1 credit per call, $250; at 20 credits, an Agentforce action's rate, $5,000. Both are illustrative, because Salesforce hasn't published the rate.

Which questions should you ask before you sign either?

  1. Which currency is my quote in, and does the published list apply to an Israeli entity?
  2. HubSpot: is my portal eligible for seats-and-credits pricing, or priced on hubs?
  3. Salesforce: what is the HPI multiplier, when does metering start, and which of my integrations count as agentic?
  4. What happens when included credits run out, and who can change that setting?
  5. What does one unit mean for each agent I plan to run: an action, a resolution or a lead?
  6. Can a capacity pack be cancelled before the term ends?

On either CRM, the credit terms are set before the first month starts, by what you buy and what the contract says about limits. Get those answers in writing.

Frequently asked questions

What are Salesforce Flex Credits?

Salesforce Flex Credits are the prepaid unit that Agentforce and other metered Salesforce features consume, priced at $500 per 100,000 ($0.005 each). A standard Agentforce action uses 20 credits ($0.10), a Help Agent resolution 400 ($2). Credits must be used before the order end date.

What are HubSpot Credits?

HubSpot Credits are the unit HubSpot's seats-and-credits model uses for email sends, workflow actions and Breeze AI. They cost €0.01 each, with 5,000, 10,000 or 15,000 included a month on Starter, Professional and Enterprise, and don't roll over. A conversation the customer agent resolves is 50 credits.

What is a Headless Platform Interaction?

A Headless Platform Interaction (HPI) is Salesforce's unit for each successful call a registered AI agent makes to a production org over MCP or direct API; each one consumes Flex Credits. The multiplier is "TBA" on the 31 August 2026 rate card, metering hasn't started, and Salesforce promises 30 days' notice.

Does HubSpot charge credits when an external AI agent calls the CRM?

Not on anything HubSpot has published as of 26 October 2026. Its API usage page sets the limits for external apps, and neither it nor the MCP server pages mention credits or charges. HubSpot Credits are consumed by HubSpot's own Breeze features, email sends and workflow actions.

Is HubSpot cheaper than Salesforce in 2026?

At list price, a HubSpot Professional GTM Seat is €100 and a Salesforce Core seat is $195. AI is harder to compare: a HubSpot customer-agent resolution is €0.50, a Salesforce Help Agent resolution $2, a generic Agentforce action $0.10. Compare the units you'll use, in your quote's currency.

How much does Agentforce for Sales cost?

Agentforce for Sales is listed from $125 per user per month as an add-on to Sales Cloud editions below Max, and included in Max at $550. Agent actions then consume Flex Credits at 20 credits ($0.10) each. The Agentforce User License is $5 per user per month and requires Flex Credits.
