Users withMarketing HubEnterprisesubscriptions who have purchased the Business Units Add-On can use business units tomanage multiple brandsin one HubSpot account. You can customize the branding for each business unit to streamline content creation.
Before getting started, please note the following:
Only Super adminscan create and edit business units.
Each Business units add-on allows for one business unit. You can add up to 100 business units by purchasing multiple instances of the Business units add-on.
With eachBusiness units add-on, your HubSpot account will have access to one additional brand domain. It is optional to associate this domain to your new business unit. If you want to associate the brand domain, ensure thatthe brand domain is connectedbefore setting up your business unit.
HubSpot only allows for one primary domain per account. If you already have a primary domain set up in your HubSpot account, you must assign a business unit toa secondary domain.
When you create a business unit, theBusiness unitscontact property will automatically be created in your account. You can filter your contacts by business unit and automatically set this property when a contact submits a form associated with a specific business unit.
Create business units
To create a new business unit:
In your HubSpot account, click thesettingssettings iconin the main navigation bar.
In the left sidebar menu, navigate toBusiness Units.
In the top right, clickCreate new Business Unit.
Enter anamefor your business unit.
ClickCreate.
Rename or delete existing business units
Manage your business units from the business units settings page:
In your HubSpot account, click thesettingssettings iconin the main navigation bar.
In the left sidebar menu, navigate toBusiness Units.
To rename a business unit or your default account business unit:
Click theCurrent viewdropdown menu and select thebusiness unityou want to rename.
In the upper right, click theActionsdropdown menu, then clickRename.
In the dialog box, enter a newnamefor your business unit.
ClickUpdate. The business unit's new name will display in your HubSpot account.
To delete a business unit, click theCurrent viewdropdown menu at the top of the page, and select the business unit you wish to delete. ClickActionson the top right, then click Delete. A dialog box will appear to confirm the deletion. Type your business unit name, then click Delete business unit.
Please note:
If you delete a business unit, the account will disappear but data associated with it won't get deleted.
It is not possible to turn off business units. If you want to remove the business units feature, reach out to your Customer Success Managerto cancel theBusiness units add-on.
Customize branding for business units
You can set custom logos, favicons, and colors for each business unit by creating brand kits. When you create pages, emails, scheduling pages, and forms associated with a business unit, the brand colors will be displayed in the color picker favorites. Only users withAccount Access and Edit account defaultspermissions can create brand kits.
To create and manage brand kits, navigate to your business units settings:
In your HubSpot account, click thesettingssettings iconin the main navigation bar.
In the left sidebar menu, navigate toBusiness Units.
To create a brand kit:
In theAccount Defaultssection, clickManage brand kits. You’ll then be directed to theBrandingtab of theAccount Defaultssettings page.
In the top left, click theCurrent viewdropdown menu and select thebusiness unityou want to create a brand kit for.
In the top right, clickCreate a new brand kit.
In the dialog box, enter abrand namefor the brand kit.
ClickSave..
After the brand kit is created, you can further edit the logo, favicon, and colors associated with the brand kit:
On theBrandingtab of theAccount Defaultssettings page, click the brand kitname.
To add a brand logo:
Under Logos, clickAdd.
ClickUploadto upload a new image from your computer, or to select an existing image fromyour file managerin HubSpot. HubSpot will resize uploaded images before applying them to your sales tools.
Enter aLogo name.
If you'd like to further customize your logo, you can add alt text, a URL, and configure the width and height of the logo.
ClickUploadto upload a new image from your computer, orBrowse imagesto select an existing image from your file manager in HubSpot
Enter aFavicon name.
ClickSave.
To set brand colors:
Click theColorstab.
Set your primary color by entering ahexadecimal value, or clicking thecolor picker. The primary color will be used across scheduling pages, new quotes, and new conversation channels.
To add more colors, click+ Add.
ClickSave.
To delete a brand kit, click theActions>Delete.
Install the HubSpot tracking code for a business unit
Each business unit is associated with its own unique tracking code. Unique tracking codes allow you todisplay different cookie policy bannerson different pages. However, this will not have any effect on reporting.
To install the tracking code:
In your HubSpot account, click thesettingssettings iconin the main navigation bar.
Navigate toTracking & Analytics>Tracking codein the left sidebar menu.
Click theCurrent viewdropdown menu and select thebusiness unityou want to install the tracking code for.

Create and manage business unit dashboards
In your HubSpot account, navigate to Reporting > Dashboards.
In the upper right, clickCreate dashboard. You'll be brought to the dashboard library.
Select theBusiness Unit Overview template.
In the right panel, review the reports included in the dashboard. Clear thecheckboxesnext to the reports you don't want to include.
On the dashboard, clickDashboard filters. Use the search bar to find and select the business unit filter you want to use. Click theBusiness unitdropdown menu, and select abusiness unit.
Click Apply filter.
Create and manage business unit reports
In addition to using the reports from theBusiness Unit Overviewtemplate, you can also create custom reports using theBusiness unitsproperty. Learn more aboutmanaging reports.
To create a custom contact report to analyze business units, use theBusiness unitsproperty in thecustom report builder.
To associate an existing report with a business unit:
From the reports dashboard, select the checkbox next to the report and clickSet business unit.
In the dialog box, click theBusiness unitdropdown menu and selecta business unit.
