Newest updates in HubSpot - March edition

Another month, another set of new HubSpot updates!

CRM systems are constantly evolving and improving, with new features and capabilities being added regularly. As one of the leading CRMs on the market, HubSpot's features and functions continue to evolve, allowing businesses to better understand and manage their customer relationships.

So let’s start exploring what HubSpot has got us stored in the month of March.

Colored Deal Tags

It's now possible to create colored deal tags, making it easier for sales reps to scan the board view and prioritize deals.

There are ten (10) deal tags that can be created by super admins, each based on a set of conditions. When those conditions are met, deal tags will appear on board cards.

Customize 'Create record' form by pipeline

Administrators can customize the ‘Create record’ form in Object Settings by adding properties. These properties will be visible or required in all cases.

Users will be able to select the deal pipeline or ticket pipeline they wish to add when they click "Add Pipeline Logic." Once selected, properties will appear conditionally for this pipeline.

Resolvable Comments

Comments posted in the collaboration sidebar can now be resolved by customers.

The main purpose of commenting is to suggest changes to the asset being worked on by colleagues. The "resolved" comments still hang around, and there is no way to hide them or make it clear to stakeholders that the work has been completed.

Improved Comment Notification Emails

This new feature lets customers know the type of asset and name of the asset where the comment was created. As part of the notification email, HubSpot displays the contents of the comment along with any previous comments on the same thread. Comment threads include details about the authors and timestamps of previous comments.

Custom Properties in Marketing Campaigns

The marketing campaigns tool now supports:

  • Creating custom properties and custom property groups
  • Viewing and managing default and custom properties as well as custom property groups
  • All property types, excluding calculation and score
  • Saved views and filters
  • Native support in campaign exports
  • Customization of available properties in the create campaign form
  • Powering the newly added default properties and existing default properties
  • Custom campaign properties are available in the custom report builder

Email Log & Track Default Settings for Admins

The Chrome and Office 365 extensions now allow administrators to configure default email logging and tracking settings.

Two playbook templates available by
default in new portals

In new HubSpot portals, you will now have access to two playbook templates by default.

In the past, users had to wait for a super admin to create a playbook before they could use it. Playbooks were unlikely to be discovered by customers who didn't understand their value or how to use them. By presenting templates right away, we demonstrate how playbooks work and can be adopted.

Sales Playbooks in the HubSpot App
for Zoom Meetings

The HubSpot App for Zoom Meetings now has playbooks. This gives your sales team the ability to do all of the following within a Zoom call:

  • Use any available playbooks in HubSpot
  • Log and track data to the HubSpot contact record
  • Search for and view existing HubSpot contacts
  • Associate the playbook with the contact record in HubSpot

Restore Deleted Products

In-app product restoration was not possible. When Restore Deleted Products is enabled, the Recycle Bin will be integrated into the Products Library so that erroneous Product deletions can be quickly reversed.

Click on the 'Restore records' button in the top right corner of the Product Library. You will be able to see your deleted products in the Recycle Bin once you click this.

Create a Random Sample from any List

Customers can now easily pull a random sample from a list.

HubSpot Embed for the Zoho CRM Integration

You can now view contact, company, and deal records in HubSpot using the new HubSpot Embed. With the HubSpot Embed, you can also take action on these records and start automation from within Zoho CRM.

  • All timeline insights
  • Contact, company, deal, ticket, and custom object association insights
  • Property and property history
  • Workflow enrollment & workflow history
  • Direct View in HubSpot link

Saved Views in Tasks

Users can now save a set of filters as a saved view in the tasks app, making it easier to customize their task view and stay focused on the work that matters most.

Workflows at Risk on the At-risk Workflows Tab

At-risk workflows have been added to the Workflows with errors tab. By using risk dates, types, and the option to ignore workflow risks until they recur, users can prioritize at-risk workflows quickly.

All workflow customers have access to the At-risk workflows tab.

Bot Filtering Status Light

A status indicator on the email post-send page to show whether your Bot Filtering setting is currently turned ON or OFF.

If bot filtering is turned on, the email's primary open rate will exclude bot activity and will only include the estimated percentage of opens made by humans.

View Users Without 2FA in Security Center

When you click "Resolve" on that Security Center criteria, the Security Center displays a list of users without 2FA. A deep link can be used by the admin to view the user's permissions, or you can reach out to them via their email address.
