HubSpot Product Updates - August Edition
It's time for HubSpot's monthly product update! From Deal Pipeline improvements to Workflows conversion reporting, these updates will boost your productivity and streamline your workflows. Take a look at these HubSpot enhancements to learn how they can help you.
Mobile Marketing Home - iOS and Android
Mobile Marketing Home has all the tools you need from the HubSpot iOS and Android apps.
The Mobile Marketing Home simplifies access to essential tools and insights, eliminating distractions and enhancing focus in order to drive growth and success. By integrating productivity tools into one central hub, you can improve your productivity and effectiveness from the beginning of your workday.
HubDB file column
HubDB tables now have a new column type that allows you to select files from the Files tool, including PDFs, documents, images, videos, and more.
Use Case: With HubDB tables, you can select various file types, including PDFs, images, and videos, enabling customized and dynamic content management across rows of a table.
Approvals for Deal Pipelines
A review and approval stage can be easily enforced, ensuring that deals are reviewed and approved before moving forward. You can streamline deal approvals by involving up to three approvers who can approve changes or reject deals.
Sales managers can increase deal accuracy, compliance, and efficiency by monitoring and authorizing deal progress.
Mobile Lead Management
With HubSpot's new mobile app, you can prospect and qualify leads from anywhere.
Until now, prospecting on the go meant jumping around between tasks, activity feeds, and contact records in the mobile app. The new mobile lead management solution will provide a standardized approach to prospecting, enabling continuity between channels and streamlining qualification.
Customizable Registration Follow-Up Emails
To improve membership conversion rates, we introduced registration follow-up emails with a standard template last year. With the marketing email editor, you can personalize these emails to engage potential members more effectively.
Use Case: Brand consistency is now easier than ever! Customize your follow-up emails for a personalized touch to enhance your branding and increase registration completion rates.
Build app cards (UI extensions) for Help Desk Ticket Sidebars
Give your support teams the right information at the right time to increase their productivity
Use Case: Enhance access to key information and enable quick actions within the help desk workspace with UI extensions for ticket sidebars. You can access these app cards both from the ticket list page and when viewing specific tickets.
Make outbound calls using the Calling icon in the navigation
The calling remote now allows you to make outbound calls. Dial the recipient's phone number by entering the recipient's number.
Use Case: Up until now, outbound calls had to be initiated from fixed locations within the CRM. HubSpot's new dialer makes outbound calls faster and easier (e.g. record pages).
Re-Attempting Leads
After disqualifying a lead for a particular reason, admins can now require reps to create a follow-up lead. Reps will never forget to re-engage a lead who was disqualified for bad timing with this change!
Use Case: Using re-attempting leads based on specific disqualification reasons, you can help your sales reps more effectively target previous disqualified leads.
Enhancement: Pipeline rules for Deals and Tickets
With enhanced Pipeline Rules for Deals and Tickets, you can set specific pipeline stages, new record creation limits, skip stages, and backward movement restrictions according to your business needs.
Establishing and managing detailed guardrails for informed business decisions. The insights you gain can then be used to make strategic decisions.
User Out of Office for Inbox and Help Desk
Admins and individual users can set out-of-office blocks based on the user's timezone, which may differ from the account's or their team's. Inboxes and Help Desk will not automatically assign users who are out of office when their availability status is changed to Away.
Setting out of office blocks aligned with your specific time zone gives you greater control over your availability and workload. Using this feature, you will be protected from automatic assignment in inboxes or Help Desk systems while out of the office, minimizing interruptions and promoting effective team collaboration across time zones.
Workflows conversion reporting
The workflow editor now allows users to visualize conversion and performance data aggregated across workflows.
By analyzing data, you can gain a better understanding of the effectiveness and impact of your workflows. Optimizing your automation strategies and improving your business outcomes will depend on understanding the performance of your workflows.
Data Quality Weekly Digest
Introducing Data Quality Digest, a weekly summary of your account's data health highlighting changes in issue volume and maintenance needs to address data inconsistencies proactively. A digest is available via Email, Slack, and Bell Notifications, enabling proactive data management by keeping you informed about recent updates in data health, such as Duplicates, Formatting Suggestions, and Properties.
Use Case: By delivering integrated insights where you are, the Data Quality Digest reinforces HubSpot's robust data quality ecosystem. By proactively identifying data issues before they impact downstream processes, this solution addresses the challenge of maintaining accurate data without laborious manual checks. You can now prevent data problems before they cause harm by receiving a weekly notification about data health changes.
Apply Taxes on Line Items
Tax rates can now be created, organized, and applied to individual line items across all tools, such as Quotes, Deals, Payment links, Invoices, and Subscriptions.
Use Case: Depending on the product or service you offer, you may have to charge tax. In all tools, tax can be added during line item creation, allowing you to associate tax with a specific line item.
Billing for Subscriptions
Subscription management and recurring billing can be automated from the CRM. Now you can automate the creation and sending of recurring invoices to customers using subscriptions.
Use Case: With Commerce Hub Subscriptions, you can manage recurring retainers and customer renewals. With subscriptions, you can now create and manage recurring billing and collect recurring payments automatically.
Pause Subscriptions
Taking a temporary break from billing and payments is now possible with Commerce Hub Subscriptions.
Use Case: There are times when you need a temporary break from goods and services. The update makes it easier for you to handle recurring billing changes without experiencing churn.
Collect payments in round robin scheduling pages
Commerce Hub Payment Links are now native to round robin scheduling pages! Payments can be received for meetings booked through round robin scheduling.
Use Case: Commerce Hub Payment Links are now a native part of all HubSpot Meetings, creating a seamless and necessary transaction whenever time is scheduled. Meetings can now be used to make money in more ways.
Automation Public API v4
Automate workflows with the new Automation Public API v4, offering developers comprehensive workflow representation, batch updates, and more, enhancing workflow scalability and customization.
Use Case: With the Automation Public API v4, developers can streamline workflow management by gaining access to full workflow representations, allowing tasks such as copying workflows between portals, managing flows for client portals, and programmatically understanding all workflows within a portal. In this way, users can create and manage workflows at scale as well as customize automation processes efficiently.
Import users into any HubSpot account from your app
Use this feature to make your public app available as a HubSpot data source. Your app allows users to bulk import users in their HubSpot settings page after installing it.
Use Case: In the past, app developers had to spend a significant amount of time and money developing user import features for their apps. This streamlined framework allows app developers to quickly add user-importing functionality to their apps. Your users can bulk import users from your app into HubSpot.
New Statistics Card (Highlight Metrics on the CRM Record)
By using the new Statistics card, you can create your own metrics directly on the Smart CRM record page. You can analyze and calculate key data points on associated records easily and efficiently by customizing and tracking specific metrics like pipeline health at the record level.
Use Case: Reviewing a Company record may require a quick snapshot of their open deals and support tickets, such as their total pipeline value and average support ticket closure time. Customize and update properties to view real-time metrics without manually calculating properties, enabling personalized insights by record.
Store HIPAA data in HubSpot
HubSpot now allows businesses that need a business associate agreement (BAA) to store personal, protected health information (PHI) and operate their portal in compliance with HIPAA.
Use Case: The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) ensures the protection of health information for U.S. organizations, and HubSpot provides tools and technical infrastructure to safeguard sensitive health data, making it easy to store and use HIPAA information to improve sales and service. You can improve contact tracking, segmentation, automation, and gain comprehensive insights into customer interactions by storing HIPAA data securely.
Set validation rules for HubSpot default properties
HubSpot's Smart CRM now allows you to set validation rules for certain default properties.
Use Case: Validation rules ensure data accuracy and consistency within CRMs by requiring users to meet specific property requirements in order to save values. Several of these rules specify certain criteria, such as a maximum of five characters in the Postal Code, a numeric value for the Deal Amount, or a maximum number of characters for the Contact First Name.
New Workflow Actions for Associations
Workflows now allow admins to automate association management tasks such as applying, updating, and removing association labels, and creating new associations based on matching property values.
Use Case: It has historically been a tedious and manual process to manage associations and their labels. Manually managing associations becomes increasingly difficult as you scale, especially as more associations and labels are used. You can automate some of those processes while improving data quality and reducing manual labor with this new feature.
Refine Custom Events by Number of Times Completed
By specifying how many times an event had to be completed for a contact to join a list or enroll in a workflow, you can refine your segment even further.
Use Case: Events that are unique to your business can be defined and tracked using custom events. In the past, you could only create lists and workflows with contacts who completed any custom event, without specifying how many times they had to complete the event.
Track changes to sensitive property values
In the audit logs page, look for the new "Sensitive Property Value" category to track user activity for critical information marked as sensitive, so you can monitor changes to these properties efficiently by accessing detailed records with previous and new property values.
Use Case: It is common for sensitive properties to contain critical information. Changes to the properties could have a significant impact on the business. With the new category, you can easily keep track of changes to these sensitive properties.
Set a unique sound for every notification
With the option to choose from a variety of distinct sounds for desktop notifications, you can differentiate between notifications and never miss important alerts for chats, tickets, or other important activity.
Use Case: Users can customize notification sounds to identify and prioritize incoming chats, tickets, or other crucial updates by assigning different tones to different types of notifications. Enhancing user awareness and responsiveness reduces the likelihood of missing critical notifications and improves overall communication efficiency.

Translate custom CRM data
Translate custom properties (including custom pipelines and custom pipeline stages) and custom object labels in HubSpot-supported languages.
Use Case: Do you need to ensure that users in multiple countries see the correct translations on custom data? A single property can now be translated into multiple languages instead of creating multiple properties in each language to represent a single data point
Stage Tracker for Associated Records
On the company record, you can view a deal stage tracker and edit the deal stage and properties. It's now possible! Using the new Association Stage Tracker card, you can display a stage tracker and up to four properties from associated records.
Use Case: The feature eliminates the need for extra clicks. There is no need to open a new tab to view associated records or to edit fields. With the new Association Stage Tracker card, all the information is right at your fingertips.
Unified Customer Feedback in App Marketplace Dashboard
Giving feedback to app partners has never been easier. Customers can now provide feedback on their app success dashboards on App Marketplace.
Use Case: Formerly, app partners received your feedback about their apps through a variety of disparate channels, including a difficult-to-navigate process for downloading uninstall survey responses. Now, your feedback is easily accessible in a centralized location.
Note: available to anyone with an app listed on the HubSpot App Marketplace, including super-admins and other developers.
